Malik is a gaming emperor that appeared for his noticeable to legalize commercial gambling in the United States. Along with his partner, Marian Ilitch, Michael went from coast to coast in Hawaii in the 1990’s to start a revolution that ended with the legalization of casinos and commercial gambling halls in the country. As a part of the Native American Gambling (NAG), Michael brought forward a state wise ballot in the year 1996 that was accepted and led to the development of 3 commercial casinos in Detroit. This turned into an industry that brings annual revenue of approx. 1.3billion dollars to the state, something quite amazing. Michael was also involved in the various aspects of development of Little River Band Casino of Ottawa Indians in Manistee in northwest Michigan, which is the 3rd most profitable Indian owned and operated casino of the 18 located in Michigan at present.
