No acumulado de 2012, as exportações somaram US$16,21 bilhões, uma redução de 13,2% em comparação ao mesmo período do ano passado. A corrente de comércio mineira atingiu US$3,64 bilhões em junho, com queda de 20,3% na comparação anual.

As exportações de Minas Gerais nos primeiros três meses de 2012 somaram US$7,80 bilhões, com redução de 8,4% em relação ao mesmo período de 2011.
As exportações de Minas Gerais aumentaram 6% em março de 2012, chegando a US$2,82 bilhões, enquanto o saldo comercial do estado atingiu US$1,85 bilhão. As importações mineiras cresceram 16,3% no mês. No acumulado do ano, as exportações somaram US$7,80 bilhões, com aumento de 7,6% nas importações.
