Minutes for General meeting held on September 24, 2013
Call to order
The meeting was called to order by Hoseanna Hale-Drummond at 1PM. Prayer was offered by Alicia
Brown-Jones.

Welcome
Welcome was extended to all present. Special welcome was extended to the Board of Directors who were
present. Ice breaker was done by Mr. Dinham.

Reading and confirmation of last minutes
Minutes of the last meeting held on September 12, 2013 was read by Alicia Brown-Jones, there were no
corrections to the minutes. It was confirmed Dervan Dinham seconded by Hoseanna Hale-Drummond.
Matters arising from last minutes
 THE EVENTS CALENDAR
The bake sale fundraiser was suggested for September 29, 2013 to raise money.
We needed help recruiting performers as the talent among the students was very broad. We organized a
Talent Quest competition which is slated for the 22nd
of December at the school’s auditorium.
Auditions will be held the first week of October.
New Business
Plans for the school’s new auditorium to be named after the late “Louise Bennett-Coverly” in motion for
December 22, 2013. The venue is slated for the Gerald “Bogle” Levy auditorium and the Guest

2. performers will be new sensation Chronixx and Orville Hall and company of the dance expressions.
Other performances will be given by the students from the Talent Quest. Gate prizes are proposed Apple
I-pod and Blackberry Smart phones sponsored by Digicel. Masters of Ceremonies is Jenny Jenny of the
RJR Group. Admission will be five hundred ($500.00) for parents children and students with their school
ID enter free.

Suggestions:
It was suggested that we could have a small hall verses hall concert for the upcoming Hero’s holiday.
Announcements and invitations:
Our dance group was invited to participate at the Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts
“Authentic Jamaican Dance Competition” to be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Edna Manley
College campus.
Adjournment
There was no other matter to be discussed hence, the meeting was adjourned at 3PM by Dervan Dinham
and seconded by Alicia Brown-Jones.
