This document describes the Apple Festival, an annual event started in 1983 where people throw rotten apples at each other for two hours in a designated ring or playground area. The rules state that participants must wear only shorts and cannot hide behind objects or leave the ring. Whoever is left in the ring at the end without being wounded is declared the winner.
