This document discusses making connections when reading and includes instructions for an activity. Students are assigned roles like moderator, time keeper, and recorder for discussing questions in a group. They then use colored pencils on puzzle pieces to record how each student made connections to the text in the areas of world, media, and self. Finally, they share their responses by fitting the puzzle pieces together.

6. Group Assignment After assigning jobs use the puzzle pieces to record how each of you made connections to the text. Use different color pencils to represent each of you. Take turns rotating the puzzle pieces to write your responses When finish fit the pieces together and share the responses.
