To make one, you buy a pumpkin, cut a hole in the top and remove the seeds, then carve a face with eyes, nose, and mouth and put a candle inside, replacing the top. The lit pumpkin is then placed outside as a Halloween decoration.

3. This is how people make a
Jack-o’-Lantern:
1st: They buy a nice pumpkin
2nd: Cut a large hole around
the top. And save the lid.

4. 3rd: Scoop out the seeds.
4th: Cut out eyes, a nose
and a mouth in the pumpkin.

5. 5th: Put a candle inside the pumpkin
6th: Put the top of the pumpkin
back on.
Now you have a Jack-o’-Lantern.
