Learn To Surf offers private and group surf lessons for all ages and abilities at several locations in Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Their lessons are led by professional instructors and include all necessary equipment. Lessons begin on the beach with stretching and sand demonstrations before heading into the water. Instructors tailor each lesson to the individual's skills and needs to ensure they learn proper technique and have a fun experience surfing.

The group surf lesson is something we do different than any surf camp or surf school out there
because we don’t actually do one. It’s really just a private surf lesson that we invite you, your
family, or the friends you brought out to surf. There are no strangers or random beginners we
through you out in the water with because that is unsafe. So we staff 2 instructors for every 4 to
5 people based on age, athletic ability, and surf conditions.

Surf Lesson Format
Stretching
We want to make sure we send you out there lose and relaxed in order to promote flexibility to
prevent injury. Surfers have a routine they all have to insure they are focused, limber, and
mentally ready before they go out to ride waves.

3. Sand Demo
The fundamentals are taught on sand before you go out into the ocean in order to develop
muscle memory. Repetition is key in order to surf and we will make sure that you are
comfortable consistently paddling, popping up, and correctly falling in a safe environment.

The reason you came out…you will have more fun with us out in the water than anywhere else.
Each instructor has their own style and flair, but teaches the fundamentals the same way. From
the beginner to the advanced surfer looking to improve technique we will tailor our lesson
based off you age, ability, and experience.
