How do you define love?
If we want what’s best for others, our actions
should prove that, right?
I John 4:7-11: Impossible to know God
without love.
Matt. 22:37-39: Love God, love our neighbor.
Love is not simply something we are supposed
to feel. It is something we are to do.
I John 3:18: We love in deed and in truth.

Love is an action, not just an attitude.

anything for us (Luke 6:35); leaders (I Thess.
5:12-13); wife (Eph. 5:25); husband/children
(Titus 2:4); parent (I Tim. 5:4); enemy (Matt.
5:44); and unloving (Matt. 5:46).
What are those actions of love?

5. Love
I Cor. 13:4-7: Patience; kindness; support;
humility and honor; propriety; sacrifice; peace;
forgiveness; rejoice at the right things;
forbearance; and trust.
We are also commanded to love ourselves.
Same verses in I Cor. 13:4-7 apply to loving
yourself.
If we are most concerned about pleasing God, it
will start and end with taking the actions of love.
