Jesus spent most of his time ministering in Galilee, only making brief visits to Jerusalem for Passover. Between the second and third Passovers, Jesus focused his ministry entirely in Galilee near his home and the homes of some of his apostles. While Jesus is often depicted as gentle and loving, his visit to the temple revealed his zealous nature and hatred of sin, hypocrisy, and worldliness. When he returns, Jesus will judge and punish the unfaithful and reward the faithful. Christians must be willing to pay a high price for their faith, just as John the Baptist lived as a recluse, preached an unpopular message, and was martyred for his religion. By becoming Christians

So far, Jesus has spent the most of His time in the north, with only brief visits to Jerusalem.
Jesus goes home after spending His first Passover in Jerusalem during His public career.
Between the second and third Passovers, the Lord would minister entirely in Galilee, near His
original house and several of His Apostles' dwellings.
1. Jesus wasn't a weakling.
Many depictions of Jesus portray him as gentle, full of love and tenderness, forgiving, and
kind. He is all of these qualities, but His visit to the temple revealed that He is also a zealous Lord
who despises sin, unholiness, worldliness, and hypocrisy. We must remember that when Jesus
returns, He will do so as the Lord of Lords, coming to judge and punish the unfaithful and evil,
and to reward those who have been faithful to Him.
2. Christians must be willing to pay a high price for their faith.
John lived as a recluse, preached an unpopular message, and died as a martyr for his
religion. His mission was to pave the way for the glory of others, not himself. When we enter the
waters of baptism to bury our old man of sin and die with Christ, we must know that we have given
up the claim to own or govern our physical lives. God may allow us to keep it for a long or force
us to give it up in one day for Christ. You can either dedicate your life to God when you become
a Christian:
One day at a time, in worship, giving, suffering, or service
If He requires you to be martyred, give it to Him all at once.
In any case, everything is His, and He will require it of us in some way.
Let us be like John, happy and joyful that we must diminish so that Christ can increase,
whether one day at a time or all at once.
