Dear Ms. Lantz:
I am writing to thank you and your readers for their active involvement with
Mountaineer Idol Gives Back. The evening was quite a success, thanks to the DA’s
coverage and promotion of the event and the generous support of the community.
There was a huge turnout of at least 200 attendees, exceeding our hopes and
expectations at the event on Oct 4th. Including money made from recyclables,
donations and the auction, we were able to raise $1,508 and 798 stuffed animals for
the WVU Children’s Hospital.
We’re appreciative of the contestants of Mountaineer Idol, who provided
exceptional live entertainment, and for bringing the community together by using
their platform to raise awareness for the WVU Children’s Hospital.
Thanks again for contributing to this meaningful community cause. The
donations and publicity generated from your articles made a difference.
Sincerely,
Brittney Smith & Sara Cottle, PR Interns
