- 1. Letter of Recommendation For Lourdes Sampayo To Whom It May Concern: May 13, 2016 I am pleased to offer my recommendation for Lourdes Sampayo. I have worked with Lourdes for the past three years as she taught ROP courses supported by the Contra Costa County Office of Education. During this time, I found her to be an effective, professional, and dedicated educator. Working with challenging facilities, Lourdes has managed to provide her students with culinary knowledge and skills appropriate for her ROP courses. Her lessons are structured and always relevant to the ‘real world’. Through career academy collaborations with core course teachers, she often incorporates academic content into her curriculum. Her education and experience in business has also translated into additional opportunities for students. She teaches an ROP Computer Applications class that provides introductory business office skills to students. In addition, she helps run the Junior Achievement program at her school, assisting students in further developing business acumen. Under Lourdes’ tutorship, this program recently led to one of her ROP students being recognized at the White House. I have attended several career academy advisory meetings with Lourdes and her community partners. It was evident that she has developed strong and cooperative business relationships. Through her organization, professionalism, and easy-going manner, these partners are eager to support the student activities that she promotes.
