What Would I Do?
In the debate of whether I would let those who came to the states illegally, stay and work for
the US is a hard debate that could hold both pros and cons. The pros of letting them stay and work for
and alongside us, is that there are more hands to get work done. The cons of letting illegal people stay,
is that they could be lazy or they could draw from the already mounting anger towards immigrants.
Personally, I would allow those who have come to work and who have come for a better life, come and
stay for as long as they want. And to those who wish to return to their homelands, would be sent off
with whatever they earned while they were here, with an additional (small) incentive. If the government
can afford to pay individuals to live in Alaska, it can afford to offer at least a small incentive to those who
learned what they needed and worked hard to get where they wanted. It is a small price to pay, but I
believe that in the end, it will prove to be beneficial to the economy and the overall good to allow these
individuals to help us make America the absolute best it can be.
