You have been hired to create a company presentation and present it to significant board
members (classmates) in a business meeting. It is your job to impress the board members with
the information, professionalism, and delivery of your presentation. After you complete your
PowerPoint, you will post the presentation to the online blog for others to review and provide
comments. You will use those comments to aid in your final delivery of the presentation at the
board meeting. Follow the instructions below to incorporate the adequate information and
formatting techniques required for success.


Instructions:

MONDAY – WEDNESDAY

   1. Choose a partner to work with you for this assignment. Both group members must
      equally contribute to the PowerPoint and the delivery of the presentation.

   2. Choose a company from the list provided below and get it approved by the teacher. No
      more than one group per company. If you wish to research a company not listed below,
      obtain approval from teacher.

   3. Use the Internet to research information about your company. You will need to find vital
      company information. Use the example PowerPoint presentation from the link below to
      SlideShare.net to see an example of what information the presentation should contain.

       Presentations should contain the following information:
          a. Major products/services: Company Description
          b. Company owners
          c. Significant company dates
          d. Major locations
          e. Amount of employees
          f. Yearly income/expenditures
          g. Significant issues/challenges
          h. Top rivals
i. Interesting company facts

4. Create and save a PowerPoint presentation that contains a MINIMUM of 10 slides. Must
   have at least one title slide and nine (or more) content slides. Use the topics listed above
   for slide information.

5. Use the concepts and techniques learned in PowerPoint to apply slide designs, layouts,
   transitions, animations, charts/diagrams, sound clips, and graphics/clipart to the
   presentation. Use the rubric to ensure adequate formatting. Be sure to follow the 7 X 7
   rule when adding information to each slide.

6. After finished with your presentation, one member of the group must upload the
   presentation to slideshare.org. Next, log into edublogs.org and reply to my “Business
   PowerPoint Presentations” post with a brief synopsis of the company you researched,
   provide both group member’s names, and set a hyperlink to your uploaded SlideShare
   file. This must be completed by the end of the class period on WEDNESDAY.

THURSDAY

1. Each group member must visit the class blog, view and post a comment to at least two (2)
   or more of your classmate’s postings. Obtain the URL to the SlideShare file to view the
   PowerPoint through the classroom blog. *Comments must provide productive feedback.

2. After you receive productive feedback from your own presentation posting, review and
   possibly revise your presentation as needed before delivering to the board meeting.

3. Practice and prepare for delivery of your presentation with your group member.

FRIDAY

1. Each group will present their presentation to the class using PowerPoint.

2. Be sure to dress appropriately, be prepared and organized. Props/special features may be
   used.

3. Each member of the group must print and use the attached rubric for criteria and grading
   purposes. Before you begin your presentation to the board members (classmates) provide
   the teacher with your rubric with your name and the name of the company you researched
   at the top.
