“Validation of Isoelectric Focusing using Hemoglobin Variants”

• Directly assisted the Chemistry professor by ensuring that the lab was supplied and prepared
properly for upcoming experiments
• Responsible for setting up instruments, calculating the volume of solvents and solutions and
the amount of solid reagents needed for experiments. Created unknowns for the students.
• Implemented new solution storage and labeling system to create a more efficient working
environment.
• Checked for gas leaks, disposed of old Gas Chromatography instruments, disassembled the
Atomic Absorption instrument for parts and disposed of instrument to ensure safety in the work
room
• Assisted professor with creating answer guides and assisted students when questions arose
• Responsible for training two employees
