This document outlines competence levels for understanding texts in written and spoken English. It describes 7 learning results including the abilities to: 1) Communicate in tasks requiring simple exchanges of daily and technical information. 2) Have brief social and practical exchanges with sufficient vocabulary to present or converse about technical topics. 3) Understand phrases and usual vocabulary about personal interests and technical topics.

1. Communicate in easy and usual tasks requiring a simple and direct Exchange of daily and
technical information.
2. Have very brief social and practical Exchange, with a sufficient vocabulary to make a
presentation or hold a basic conversation about technical topics.
3. Understand phrases and usual vocabulary about personal interest and technical topics.
4. Understand the main idea in notices, brief, clear and easy messages in technical English.
5. Read very brief and easy texts in general and technical English.
6. Find specific and predictable information in easy and everyday texts.
7. Find vocabulary and technical expression in notices, brochure, webpage etc.
