In 2003 co-founded and worked at the studio and exhibition space, the Chateau in Glasgow. The
Chateau became a well respected and desirable independent studio and exhibition space which
gave a lot to Glasgow’s underground art and music scene during its time. It helped to shape the
thriving contemporary art scene we see in Glasgow currently and gave rise to many like minded
studios since its sad demise due to a fire and collapsing stair case in 2009.
In 2010, upon losing access to the building and premises with which the Chateau was housed, a
small number of us relocated and reestablished ourselves and our studio to the Chalet on the
Southside of Glasgow. I remained a part of this group and studio until I began my MFA at GSA in
2013.
