Vol I. Issue 1.
Welcome to KPE’s first ever E-mentorship newsletter at the University of Toronto. The KPE E-
Mentorship Program works with you as you transition to the University of Toronto. Our program
is designed to introduce and connect you to amazing opportunities and resources that will help
you achieve your goals.
My name is Darrin and I will be your peer mentor for this summer.
I was the former president of the KPE Undergrad Association
(similar to student council) and have recently graduated from this
awesome program. We are a tight knit community here at KPE
that always encourages each other towards success. I’ll be
sharing many of my experiences in academics, commuting, co-
curricular involvement, employment and so much more! I’ve
learned a lot about this program and will be happy to answer any
questions and/or concerns.
It’d be great if you joined our Facebook community at
https://www.facebook.com/groups/kpe.peermentor/. You can get to
know me and your peers, learn more about my experiences and share
any concerns you have about the program. I will be sending out
newsletters to your emails about several different topics. Topics like
course registration, paying for fees, orientation week, ODP100, etc. I
will also host special webinar events, so stay tuned and join me for a
chat. If there is a topic you are interested in let me know by filling out
this survey:
https://checkbox.fpeh.utoronto.ca/Checkbox/KPEPeerMenteeSurvey.aspx
Over the summer we’ll get to know each other a lot more. I’m excited to meet each and every
one of you. Joining this program and the Facebook group is completely voluntary. You can join
and opt out at any point if you like.
Like the KPE Registrar’s Office Facebook page and follow them on twitter. They send you
important [lifesaving] information throughout the year.

If at any point you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me with your question
at kpe.peermentor@utoronto.ca or for any other questions undergrad.kpe@utoronto.ca.
