Presentatie over de Fiets en moderne ICT tijdens het Kivi Niria jaarcongres. Dankzij toepassing van moderne ICT technologie is de fiets een volwaardig vervoermiddel én de oplossing voor vele complexe problemen. De voordelen van het gebruik van de fiets als vervoermiddel zijn lange tijd onderbelicht geweest, zowel door de overheid, werkgevers, als door verzekeraars en door de fietsers zelf. Bijna alle Nederlanders zijn met de fiets opgevoed. De toegenomen welvaart, vermeende tijdwinst en gemakzucht leiden er toe dat velen de fiets als universeel vervoermiddel de rug toe keren voor dagelijks gebruik. Voor woon-werk verkeer is de fiets achtergesteld ten opzichte van het OV en de (lease) auto. De mobiliteit en de leefwijze van de hedendaagse mens stellen ons voor een aantal complexe problemen: 1.Het toenemende beslag op de openbare ruimte door het verkeer, met name in stedelijke gebieden 2.De door het verkeer veroorzaakte CO2- en fijnstof-uitstoot 3.De negatieve invloed op de lichamelijke conditie van de mens van het gebruik van auto en OV door gebrek aan beweging. Dankzij toepassing van state of the art ICT technologie wordt de fiets een volwaardig vervoermiddel én de oplossing voor bovengenoemde, complexe problemen. De wereld verfietst en de reden is simpel: Het is goed voor de eigen gezondheid, voor de omgeving en de openbare ruimte. Het vergroot de sociale interactie en vitaliteit van de gebruiker. De in stedelijke gebieden schaarse natuur wordt gespaard. Het geeft een economische impuls aan de retail in de binnensteden, waardoor de concurrentiekracht van deze gebieden wordt vergroot. En fietsen is nog leuk ook en iedereen kan het van jong tot oud. Dit is onderkend in een aantal metropolen: London, Parijs, Barcelona, Madrid, Kopenhagen, New York. Een paar voorbeelden: •Londen omarmt de fiets en investeert de komende tien jaar ruim 1 miljard euro in fietsinfrastructuur met als doel CO2-vermindering, gezondheid en bereikbaarheid •New York Citi Bike Share heeft in de eerste maand 1 miljoen miles op de teller. New Yorkse winkels gelegen aan en bij de fietspaden zagen hun omzet stijgen met 49%. Fietsen is de toekomst voor leefbare, schone, sociale steden. De hele wereld kijkt met enige jaloezie naar Nederland: hoe hebben jullie dat voor elkaar gekregen? Zoveel fietsers? Wij zijn het grootste voorbeeld voor hen allemaal. Tijd voor een schaalsprong samen met de techniek. Ring-Ring is gestart als burgerinitiatief met als doel het gebruik van de fiets te stimuleren door ervoor te zorgen dat fietskilometers waarde krijgen, vanuit zorgverzekeraar, werkgever, gemeente en retail. Een innovatieve smartphone techniek meet automatisch je fietskilometers (Fkm) waardoor er diverse 'beloningen' aan kunnen worden gekoppeld. 1.Korting zorgverzekering 2.Mobiliteitsbudget 3.Fonds voor de wijk 4.Kortingen retail per 100 Fkm. Iedereen kiest zelf hoe hij reist en de gezondste keus wordt beloond.
