     Ronald McDonald House Charities Hosting 8th Annual Kids & Clays Tournament
                Sporting clays is one-of-a-kind event that brings in over $250,000 annually.

St. Louis, Missouri---August 4, 2008 Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis and new
presenting sponsor Marcone are hosting the 8th annual Kids & Clays Tournament. This two-day event
features a dinner and auction on Friday, August 8, at the Scottrade Center where guests will be able to
bid on silent and oral auction items and enjoy exquisite dinner. The sporting clays tournament will be
held Aug. 9 at Nilo Farms in Alton, IL. There are three different start times: 8:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and
2:30 p.m.
         There are four classes available to compete in. Sub-junior division (under 14), junior division
(ages 14-17), ladies division and a corporate team challenge are the four classes offered. Shooting side
games will also be on hand. A ceremony will be held after the shoot to award the prizes for first, second
and third place. Breakfast, lunch and beverages will be served throughout the day.
         Various raffles including a chance to win a Suzuki Quad Runner and a High Roller Raffle for the
chance to win $10,000 will be drawn at the dinner auction. Proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald
House Charities, which provides a “home away from home” for 39 families with seriously ill children

The Ronald McDonald House provides a “home-away-from home” for families of seriously ill children traveling to
St. Louis for medical treatment. The facility has grown from an eight-bedroom facility in 1981, to now include
two houses, extended-stay apartments, and two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms – one at St. John’s Mercy
Medical Center and one at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The Ronald McDonald House provides comfort, care and
lodging for up to 39 families every day of the year.
