Deena Maggs' (Head of Information and Knowledge Services, The King’s Fund) presentation at the CILIP 2017 Conference in Manchester #CILIPConf2017
This session will highlight the challenges of demonstrating where evidence-based health and care policy has contributed to improved outcomes. Using examples from our service, it will explore the current complex nature of the ever-changing NHS and care landscape, structure and policies and how services can respond to rapidly shifting structures and user needs. The session will also explore the growing need and demand for evidence-based information to help make informed decisions from a range of stakeholders in the NHS.

STPs = Sustainability and transformation plans
In response to the way that the publication was reported we have introduced an internal fortnightly bulletin tracking press coverage on STPs. The Fund has also seen a number of requests from STPs to support their work through our policy and leadership functions.
Learning from this we are now also internally tracking the evidence on accountable care organisations given the development of ACSs
