The ITC has instituted an investigation based on a complaint filed by U.S. Steel, alleging that numerous entities have violated Section 337 of the Trade Act of 1930 regarding certain carbon and alloy steel products manufactured in China and imported into the U.S. This Section 337 investigation will examine novel issues and could potentially prohibit a wide range of Chinese-origin carbon and alloy steel products from being imported into or sold in the United States. The investigation was initiated on June 2, 2016 based on a complaint filed by U.S. Steel Corporation.
