What do you want to DO?
What do you want to BE?
What do you want to BECOME?
executive summary
• JovesLab applies ‘Design Thinking’ principles to the
‘wicked problem’ of designing your life. It supports youth
in deciding what they want to do, be and become.
• But where can they have this conversation? Where can
they express their views and doubts? Neither parents nor
the educational system are equipped to solve such a
complex issue, about which we all have little information:
the future of our youth and our students.
• To have some clarity of purpose and find what turns you
on, JovesLab helps you find multiple ideas, identify the
best ones, swing into action, prototype & choose what
works for you.
• JovesLab offers 20 hours of training, in which you will use
tools and techniques to find your passions and career
paths.
JOVESLAB:
AN UPDATED VERSION
OF THE ‘VISION QUEST’
The 'VISION QUEST' is a rite of passage in some Native
American cultures, which marks the entrance of young
people into adulthood. It involves a series of ceremonies run
by elders and supported by the community. The process
includes a retreat of the young person at a site in nature for
four days and nights. During this time, the young person
prays the spirits to give him/her a vision, which will help them
find purpose in life, and a role in the community. After this
ritual, and guided by this experience, the young person, who
has already found a direction, acquires a new status in the
community.

dysfunctional beliefs
These are some of the most prevalent
dysfunctional beliefs. At JovesLab, we
help youth find reframes, get them
unstuck, and move on:
• Your degree determines your career
• You have to find the one right idea,
your passion!
• It is my life, I have to design it myself
• I should know where I am going by
now, I am late!
3 benefits of JovesLab
