Sekani Sonjo is a Mozambican national born in 1984. He speaks English and Portuguese and has experience working in computer labs, offices, and warehouses. His most recent role was as a roaming senior supervisor for Drum Commodities Ltd in Mozambique where he supervised warehouses and compiled reports. Previously he worked as the acting country manager for Drum Commodities Ltd, controlling warehouses and employees. He has a certificate in computer programming from Soche Technical College and completed secondary education in Malawi. In his spare time he enjoys listening to music, singing, and reading.

The extended fablab of Rennes is a network of 15 spaces sharing tools, knowledge, and human resources to teach digital fabrication skills. It began in 2012 with a bootcamp and has expanded to include spaces in schools, public areas, and the main workspace. In 2013, the city of Rennes funded new equipment and the network grew to its current size, serving over 200 people and producing many projects. The goals of the extended fablab are to empower individuals and organizations through open-source knowledge sharing and exploring new economic models like workshops and prototyping services.
