1) The bobcat lives in dense vegetation with plenty of prey like rabbits, hares, birds, and rodents. It has one main den and several auxiliary dens in places like rock shelters, caves, hollow logs, and fallen trees. 2) Bobcats mate in late winter and gestation lasts 50-70 days, resulting in litters of 1-6 kittens. Kittens are weaned at around 2 months and begin hunting at 5 months. 3) Bobcats have a lifespan of 10-12 years. Their death rate is affected by hunting, ticks/mosquitoes, and avoiding humans by moving to less populated areas.
