2. I wanted to pick an easy project for my first attempt. The
requirements called for three solder seams so any of my sketches
below would meet the criteria. The one I selected was

Pendant
This was not quite as easy a
I originally thought it would
be. There were several
challenges. Some of them
were:
• There were 20 solder
seams. I melted the whole
bottom half of the piece.
• The jewel needed to be
changed because the
bead was too thick.
• The new bead I added
needed to be soldered
right next to the bead (I
broke it - twice).
5. This project was a sheet metal project that used piercing,
surface texture, forming, patina and soldering.
6. The Finished
Project
This project was much
simpler than my first
project. I did not have
too many challenges
with this project except
that I melted a bail. I was
also not satisfied with
the final shine on the
project.
