Jesus transformed the speaker's life completely by taking away their sin, darkness, and misery. The speaker's life was once full of waste and selfishness, but Jesus changed them into a person focused on serving others. Jesus' love is beyond understanding, and the speaker wonders why He would save someone as wretched as themself.

Jesus Loves Me<br />I cannot begin to tell you all the ways of Jesus.<br />The things He has shown to me go beyond simply true.<br />I can tell you how He transformed my life completely; <br />In doing this thing so wondrous, He did what no other could do…<br />I can think of no one that ever loved me like Jesus.<br />There’s never been anyone so loving and kind as He.<br />Could anyone have taken the filth, sin and darkness from me?<br />My Lord, My God; the depth You have so loved me.<br />You changed the selfish ‘I’ into a forever ‘we.’<br />My life was full of waste and sin when Jesus found me.<br />All of me; heart, body and soul was full of misery and woe.<br />It was Jesus placing His love and strength all around me<br />And then He led me in His way; the way I was meant to go.<br />Every day He is within me for it is His spirit He did send.<br />Each day, the more I learn, the more I understand the power of His love.<br />Sometimes I wonder why He would save such a wretch as me<br />I then remember; someday it will be clear in the great heavenlies above...<br />
