9. Key Observations
• Improper Feeding practices.
• Most of the buffalo`s were Non-descript.
• At DCS cow and buffalo milk were collected in
same can/container.
• DCS members were not satisfied with Price, as
DCS charges 10% commission on payable amount
due to wrong calibration of AMCU machines.

12. CASE- SRI intervention in Nahub
• SRI was introduced in year 2011-12 at Nahub village.
• technique was initiated through meeting of Jyoti VO (village organization)
• 60 members decided to do Rice cultivation by using SRI technique.
Role of JEEViKA in implementation of SRI technique through Jyoti
VO in Nahub –
• Inputs such as seeds, bavistin etc.
• Training on cultivation.
• One conoweeder for intercultural operations. And
• Livelihood fund of ₹1Lakh 43thousand.
Impact of SRI intervention in Nahub –
• Productivity increased 1.5to 2 times.
• Required less seed rate
Problems faced by members in SRI cultivation-
• Topographic conditions causes poor Drainage of water.
• Loss of interest as it is labour intensive and tedious as compared to
traditional method

13. • Mrs. Manju Devi is the member of shanti SHG who joined SHG in
year 2010.
• Her husband use to have 3 bighas (2acres) of land and 2 cows to run
household .
• Daughters marriage was done in 2013 which cost around ₹15 lacs .
• Unfortunately Manju Devi`s Husband expired in 2016.
• She had another two daughters who are studying and left of
marriage.

for another daughters marriage
• Her family could have better life if she has to not bear expenses on

14. • Narishakti is the cluster federation of Rajgir Block of Nalanda district .
• journey of CLF started back in year 2012.
• Consist of 27 village Organizations (20 villages), 339 SHG`s with Total 4406
members.
• Major Achievements – SRI-3000 Members.

Future plans
• CLF faces Problem in common procurement of
wheat,Rice,Refined Oil ,Dal And sugar.
• There is issue with price ,variation in Quality of procured
product
• CLF is planning to Construct common Godown Where All
Products can be directly procured from Manufactures in
Bulk Quantity.
