This document compares Java CAPS 5.1.X and Java CAPS 6. Some key differences are: 1. Design time - Java CAPS 6 introduces a new project/environment explorer and tabs for projects and services. 2. Deployment - Java CAPS 6 allows for repository based, JBI based, and J2EE based applications to be managed from a single IDE. 3. Management - Java CAPS 6 allows applications to be deployed, undeployed, disabled, and enabled from NetBeans. It also allows viewing logs and starting/stopping app servers from within NetBeans without needing to access domain log folders.
