James L. Brooks is a software engineer student at Renton Technical College studying computer science with an expected graduation in August 2016. His coursework includes Java programming, ADO client/server applications, and .NET web applications. For class projects, he has created a mock banking application in C# demonstrating OOP principles and a server-client program using network programming and asynchronous tasks. He has experience with databases using SQL Server and Microsoft Access, creating queries and a job application database with VBA. Brooks has worked in various customer service and computer technician roles while in school and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
