Dear Sir or Madam:
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Joseph Rhodes and I am very interested in
applying for a position with your company. Just to give you a little background on myself, I have
nearly 19 years of experience in office/clerical work. Out of those 19 years,16 years include an
extensive background working in Oil and Gas Records Management working with companies such
as ConocoPhillips, Devon Energy Corporation and ExxonMobil Corporation with whom I've spent 8
years. I’ve most recently spent 9 months working contract as a Document Controller with RCP Inc.,
a company specializing in oil and gas pipeline regulatory and compliance. I’ve just completed
working 1 full year on an assignment at Enervest Ltd., an Oil and Gas company where I worked as a
File Clerk on a divestiture project. My ultimate goal, with the right opportunity and environment, is
to learn and become an Oil and Gas Engineering Technician and/or Geoscience/Geophysicist
Technician. With my experience and knowledge, I fully believe that I would be the perfect candidate
for this position. Please review the attached copy of my resume at your earliest convenience. If you
have any questions and would like to schedule an interview, please feel free to contact me. All of
my contact information is listed on my resume. Thank you in advance for consideration of
employment.
Cordially yours,
Joseph A. Rhodes
