IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Money: Our currency is called Real or Reais (for plural).
ATM/Cash Withdrawal: You can withdraw money at BRADESCO/CITI BANK bank branches or BANCO 24 HORAS
ATMS. There will be Bradesco branches near your hotel and everywhere we go.
Money exchange: Also there will be currency exchange places nearby your hotel. However we will be having a very busy

General Info: Ubatuba is located on the southeast coast, in the state of São Paulo. The population in 2010 was 78,801.
Draped with the rich flora of the Mata Atlântica, the peaks of the Serra do Mar provide a dramatic, emerald-green
backdrop to the winding Ubatuba coastline. This region has become a preeminent resort for well-heeled paulistanos, with
its elegant beach homes and a number of stylish hotels and pousadas, especially south of the town. Heading north
toward neighboring Paraty in the state of Rio de Janeiro, beaches tend to be harder to reach but also wilder and more
pristine, and the little-visited Parque Nacional da Serra da Bocaina spans both São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro states.
The town itself, known simply as 'Centro,' is perhaps uninspiring, save for its handsome waterfront promenade, pretty bay
views and a few small beaches, but there is no shame in basing yourself here while you explore the northern and
southern coastlines – and there's plenty of action at night. Ubatuba is considered, by law, as "The Surf Capital of São
Paulo State". The city has received this honour because more than ten important surf contests are held off its beaches
every year, including two world qualifying series, two Super Surf Pro series, and other competitions supported by such
well-established brands as Billabong, Quiksilver and Dunkelvolk (which sponsored the 2009 edition of Ubatuba Surf
Contest with more than 120 athletes).
