Victor Tihonovich Isakov was born on February 11, 1927 and worked at a defense plant as a teenager during World War II. Even into his 80s, he enjoyed an active lifestyle by skating almost every day, and at one point could skate 15 km, inspiring his grandson to also live actively. Victor died at the age of 85 on January 25, 2012 while still in great physical shape at 70 years old.
