Humans have evolved to be highly social and cooperative. Our brains and behaviors have adapted over thousands of years to live communally in tight-knit groups where sharing resources and child-rearing was essential for survival. Modern society has moved away from this close-knit structure, which can negatively impact our well-being if we do not find community and social connection in other ways.
