The Uffizi Gallery in Florence will be temporarily moving ten Botticelli paintings from Room 10-14 to Room 41 from July 12-13. Room 41 has been restored and upgraded thanks to a donation from the Friends of Florence foundation. Reporters are invited to a preview on July 13 at 5:00 pm to see the new display and hear speakers from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Uffizi Gallery, and Friends of Florence.

Uffizi: Botticelli’s masterpieces on
display in Room 41 of the Gallery,
thanks to Friends of Florence
On July 12th
and 13th
, ten paintings by Sandro Botticelli will be moved from room 10-14 on the
museum’s second floor to a temporary display in room 41 that is accessed from the Third Corridor.
The room has been restored and upgraded to current museum-standards thanks to a generous
donation from the non-profit foundation, Friends of Florence. This grant made it possible not only to
prepare room 41, but also to dismantle and later refurbish the Botticelli room (10-14).
Members of the press, photographers and videographers are
cordially invited to the pre-viewing of Room 41 at 5:00 p.m.,
