Animals without backbones, called invertebrates, include sponges, jellyfish, worms, echinoderms, molluscs and anthropods. They live in water and under or on rocks, and lack organs like eyes, a heart and nervous system. Jellyfish specifically have a bell-shaped main body that is carried by water currents, with tentacles used to catch prey that have stinging cells. Worms have a thin, soft and legless body that allows them to travel through ground and water.
