Inglês para hotéis é a tentativa de transformar em realidade o domínio mínimo do inglês falado, para
que situações corriqueiras de comunicação dentro de um hotel não resultem em mal entendidos
irremediáveis e também para que o hóspede estrangeiro sinta-se bem quando dentro do hotel.
A idéia que norteia o uso deste material foca no desenvolvimento de habilidades gramaticais simples,
nada além do presente, passado e algumas situações que contemplam o futuro. Expressões idiomáticas
coerentes para a comunicação rápida e eficaz, bem como a pratica intensa das mesmas é o objetivo
principal deste trabalho.
Dedico este esforço a todos meus alunos do Hotel Hits Pantanal, que na sua vontade de vencer suas
barreiras de comunicação com estrangeiros estudam o inglês e o usam na solução de suas rotinas.

3. O QUE É UM VERBO E COMO CRIAR UMA FRASE EM INGLÊS.
Uma frase é composta essencialmente de no mínimo duas palavras. São o sujeito e o verbo. Exemplo:
Eu como. Eu bebo. Eu danço Você nada. Você lê Você compra
Exemplo: I eat.

Criar uma frase em inglês passa pelo mesmo processo, e até mais simples em inglês por não termos
que conjugar verbos como em português.
Comer - eat beber - drink os dois verbos são substituídos pelo verbo “have”
Então você pode dizer

Eu danço - I dance.
Eu bebo - I drink.... ou I have...
Você pode - you can. Você lê - you read. Você compra - you buy.

O do é um verbo como outro qualquer, mas tem também a função de verbo auxiliar.
Veja o exemplo:

6. PRESENTE SIMPLES “DOES”
O “does” é usado para perguntas feitas sobre uma terceira pessoa. É o “do”, só que com o acréscimo
de 'es'.
Para entender o uso do auxiliar “does”, é necessário que se entenda a regra para formar frases no
presente para terceiras pessoas. Veja:
I swim. He swims. I eat . He eats.
Eu nado. Ele nada. Eu como Ele come.
I DO. HE DOES. O verbo auxiliar do também pode ser usado como verbo
principal e
Eu faço. Ele faz. Quando usado assim significa FAZER.
Visto isso, podemos concluir que o DOES é usado para fazer perguntas assim como o DO.

e é usado como um verbo auxiliar.

Eu posso falar. em inglês I can speak.
Eu consigo falar. em inglês I can speak. Os sentidos do verbo poder e conseguir são
semelhantes.

O did é o passado do verbo do e como ele também tem a função de verbo auxiliar.

Temos dois tipos de conjugação, dos verbos regulares e dos irregulares.
