Someone who:
• Worked with books (collected, selected,
borrowed, shifted etc.)
• Knew any authors of any books („living
encyclopaedia”)
• Focused rather on documents (books) than on
people (users)
5. Today’s Librarian
Person who:
• manages information in all forms
• is capable of searching for in every
information sources
• knows where and how to find a relevant
information (searcher)
• analyzes users’ searching behavior

모른다는 것이 즐거운 일은 아니지만 자
신의 무지를 인정할 수 있을 때, 무언가
를 받아들일 준비가 되어 있다는 것을
깨닫게 될 것이다. 자료에 대한 선입
견이 적을수록, 모른다는 불안에서 벗어
날수록, 이해력을 증가될 것이다

해 배운 첫번째 교훈이었다
유능한 전문가는 모든 해결을 가진 사
람리 아니라 어디서 해답을 찾아야
하는지에 대해 아는 사람이다.
구성방식에 대한 이해없이 정보를
읽어나가는 것은 국회도서관에 가
서 목적없이 특별한 책을 찾기 위
해 서가를 샅샅이 뒤지는 것과 같
다
