Our second day in Buenos Aires started with a tour of the Congreso Nacional, where Argentinian deputies and senators work. We then visited Plaza de Mayo, the civic heart of Buenos Aires where historical moments have occurred. Next was a tour of La Casa Rosada, the office of the Argentinian President located in a characteristic pink building. After lunch, we toured the Metropolitan Cathedral before our favorite outing to the Colón Theatre, considered one of the top five theatres in the world. We finished our excursion at Recoleta Cemetery, where many famous Argentinians are buried.
2. We started our day very early in the morning.
The first visit was:
The Congreso Nacional is in
Buenos Aires.
Thats the place where
Argentinian deputies and
senators work.
3. After we had finished the tour in the Congreso, we went
to La Plaza de Mayo
Plaza de Mayo is the civic heart of Buenos Aires. Many houses
were built around it. The Government House, National Bank , the
Cabildo and the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, are in front of this
square.
The Plaza de Mayo is the place where all the historical moments
happened. Nowadays it´s the place where people make petitions
to the government.
4. Then, we waited few minutes to enter in La Casa Rosada. There a
special guide explained everything.
La Casa Rosada is where
the Argentinian President
has her office.
The characteristic color of
the Casa Rosada is pink,
and is considered to be one
of the most emblematic
buildings in Buenos Aires.
The Casa Rosada also has a
museum, which has objects
related to former presidents
of Argentina. The Casa
Rosada has been declared a

It is located in the city
center, opposite Plaza de
Mayo, on the corner of San
Martín and Rivadavia
streets, in the San Nicolás
neighborhood.
It is a mixture of
architectural styles, with an
18th-
century nave and dome and
a severe, 19th-
century Neoclassical decorat
ion without towers. The
interior keeps precious 18th-
century statues.
6. That was my favourite tour:
The Colón theatre is the most important theatre in Argentina and it´s considered as
one of five best theatres in the world.
The theatre is on 9 de Julio Avenue, Libertad street, Arturo Toscani street and
Tucúman street, in the heart of the city.
With excellent acoustics and modern stage areas, the theatre's interior design
features a rich scarlet and gold decor
