Informa tasked SMP Group with revamping 6 visitor feature areas for IPEX 2017 to draw more visitor attention and create engaging spaces for networking and workshops. SMP Group created high-impact areas for the event entrance, Dscoop theatre, Print in Action conference set, Connect café & bar, and Furniture Skills theatre using modular display systems, event trussing, and impactful graphics. The client was impressed with SMP Group's professionalism, eagerness to work consultatively within budget constraints, and delivery of innovative and creative solutions on-site.

3. INFORMA
Informa plc tasked us with revamping 6 visitor feature areas for IPEX 2017, a specialist exhibition for the print industry.
Previous years saw these areas as tame and uninspiring, so it was important that the makeover would draw visitor
attention and create an engaging space for networking and event workshops to take place.
The client supplied the dimensions for each area, but allowed our creative team complete flexibility to generate ideas
and create impactful visual concepts.
We produced high-impact feature areas for:
• Event entrance
Our Quadra modular system provided the ideal display solution for event welcome boards, exhibition hall maps and
exhibitor information lining the entry point to the show. The system offered custom build elements to the base and header
with downlights drawing visitor attention and creating a welcoming ambience.
Also using Quadra, we produced a visitor registration and badge collection station to continue the event look and feel.
• Dscoop theatre
We designed a self-supporting theatre constructed using our event truss system dressed in impactful fabric graphics. We
also created a raised conference set stage and supplied a range of furniture for visitor comfort during working presentation
sessions.

• Print in Action conference set
Lined with colourful branded barrier graphics, we created an open plan conference set solution with high-impact stage and
entrance arch.
• Connect café & bar
We created a welcoming breakout zone for visitors lined with barrier branding, featuring a central bar and storage area,
service desks, tables and seating scattered throughout.
• Furniture Skills theatre
Similar to the Dscoop theatre, we produced a self-supporting theatre constructed using our event truss system dressed in
impactful fabric graphics. We also created a raised conference set stage and supplied a range of furniture for visitor comfort
during working presentation sessions.
