Drive away mosquitoes with natural medicines!Diseases caused by mosquito bite!MALARIA: the word malaria is an italian word which meanes bad air (mala-bad,aria-air)Malaria is an mosquito borne infectious disease, caused by a parasites of plasmodium species (plasmodium vivau, plasmodium ovale, plasmodium malarie, plasmodium faliciparum)Malaria is transmitted by female anopheles mosquito and spreads infection from person to person. The prasite grows in blood stream and produces symptoms.
Symptoms:-Fever,chills, headache, muscle ache and general malaise.6 to 8 days to several months Malaria is a severe fatal disease but can be treated with antimalarial druges.Rampant and artemisinin are antimalarial drugs in the latest century has led to drug resistance in the malaria parasite.Incubation period :- Treatment:-
Yellow fever:-Yellow fever is a mosquito borne viral infection transmitted by aedes aegypti mosquitoIncubation period :- 7 days Symptoms:- fever, kidney failure and bleeding, jaundice ( the yellowing of skin and eyes) ,vomitings, nauseaTreatment:-No medical cure, only way to ease the symptoms is vaccination and mosquito control can prevent yellow fever.
encephalitis:-Encephalitis is a brain inflammation caused by virus such as aedes mosquitoor culiseta mosquitoes.Exposure to viruses can occur through mosquito bites, inhalation of respiratory droplets from infected person.Symtoms:- high fever, stiff neck, headache laziness.
Dengue fever:-Dengue fever is a viral illness transmitted by asian tiger mosquito.Symptoms:- rashes, myalgia (muscle ache) arthralgia(joint aches), nausea, enlarged lymph nodes, fever (104-105f) Treatment:- DehydrationHigh fever can be treated with acetaminaphen Vaccination is the only sure method of prevention.
Effects of diseases cased by mosquito bite:-Malaria:- children and pregnant women with weak ened immune syatem are at a greater risk of severe malaria infection.Malaria mainly effects the red blood cellsPlasmodium vivax:-60% of inections in india are caused by p.vivax and it seldam causes causes death. The common symptoms of p.vivax are fatigus diarrhoea, and chills.Flu like symptoms are commonly observedin the person affected by p.vivax
Plasmodium ovale:-The parpsite can rest in liver of a patiente for few months to 4 years. This parasites are most likely to relapse and invade white blood cells and making the patient sick.Plasmodium malaria:-This parisite can cause milder forms of the disease and it is not lethal. It nanifests; it self in the form of highfever and chills.
Plasmodium falciparum:-This parasite has most severe effects with high rate of mortality. The individual infected by this parasite experiences fatigue, dizziness ,abdominal pain, enlarged spleen, hypoglycenia (low blood sugar) This infection also has an adverse effect on brain and central nervous system. If untreated leads to coma and death.
Precautions:-Vaccination should be takenMosquito bite prevention include mosquito population control.Avoid keeping of open sources of water for breedingUse mosquito nets and use of insect repellants Protective clothing should be doneBest precaution is make the environment less mosquito friendly”Use bleaching power mixed in water if it is not tube used for drinking.
Allopathy or chemical mixed medicine:-Allopathic medicine refers to the practice of conventional medicine uses of pharmocologically active agrnt or physical interventions to treat or supress the symptoms of disease.DEET(N,N diethyl 3 methyl benzanide) is an chemical repellant for mosquito bitePermethrin is an insecticide which is effective against mosquitoes.Repellants from synthetic chemicals are available in the from of creams, lotions, sprays, coils, mats, liquid vapourisess
Natural medicines:-Camphor mixed with kerosence can drive away mosquitoes easilyDry red chilly, mustred seeds, balack pepper, clove power, banbo power etc, are used to prevent from mosquito bite.Essential oils (peppermint oil, eucalyptus, clove, neem oil) are powerful natural insecticides for killing mosquitoes with out toxin chemicals.Drinking neem teas or chewing a couple of leaves Every day reduces the possibility of mosqutio bone fevers.Citronella is known as natural mosquito repellant.Fresh alovera, and garlic are natural remedies for mosquitos bit.Use the burn plant parts around their home to genrrate smoke to drive away mosquitoes from their surroundings.
Following slideMosquito repellant do not kill mosquito the chemicals present in it prevent mosquito, bite only for limited period of time.Repellants from plant derivative and synthetic chemicals will show many side effects Liquid vapourises emit fumes when heated, has effects on babiesSprays and foams which emit noxious fumes in the spray mist may be in haled and cause ellergic and breathing problems.Coils and mats which relase smoke when burent cause allarigic and breathing problems.Side effects of natural medicine :-Nil
Benefits and uses of natural medicines:-Lemon eucalyptus repellant will be have low concentration of chemicals Neem oil contain insecticidal compounds called a to adirachtins which can also cure skin dicisesIngessting garlic and apple cider vineger taking this make you unappetizing musqutio as well as good for health.Natural medicines contines no chemical concentrations and adversly it show good effect on health.
How the mosquitoes breed?Tae onset of monsoons usually leads to breeding among mosqitoes. The mosqutio ( female aeds mosquito ) that feeds on blood as it required blood protein to produce its eggs.Female aedes mosqutio lay their eggs usually in stagnant waters. In delhi 90% of these mosqutioes were found rampantly breeding in the water stagnment in coolers.Male mosquito usually feed on plant nectar mosqutioes are attarcted by bodb odurs carbo dioxide and heat emitted from the animal qr humans.
measures to prevent breeding of mosquitoes:- Bioloical control of mosquto:- Effective bio-control agents include preatory fish that feed on mosquito larvae such as mosquito fish (gambusia affinis)In 1958 the natural malaria eradication program implemented the wide scale use of DDT (dichloro dipheenyl trichloro ethane) for mosquito controlLarviciding:-Control of larvae can be done through use of contact poisons, growth regulators, biological agents such as nematrodes fungi.
Adulticiding:-Control of adult mosquitoes is most familiar aspect of mosquito control by publicIt is done by aerial application of chemical pesticides.Adult mosquitoes can be killed by using house hold aersol pesticides.Avoid stagmant waters to get rid of mosquito breeding sitesMeasures should be taken to preveat mosuito breeding in stored water bodiesMonitoring mosquito population via mechanical and light traps which attracts and captures mosquitosA new approach to killing mosquito in a non-toxic way with propane CO2 and water vapour. Mosquitoes get drawed towards propane flame, where they get sucked in to net.
