2. “ Khel Khel Mein Khel Ka Maidan” We created a new playground for our school!

3. Although the school has a small playground, there was no place for the children to play ballgames.

4. There is an area with dense shrubbery on school property of about 1.5 acres which can be cleared and used as a playground. We can get axes to clear the bushes and shrubs. We can gather the garbage and burn it. We can ask the Sarpanch for help to level the ground and cover the well.

5. We cut all the bushes and shrubs with axes. While cutting, we encountered a snake which we got rid of with sticks. We gathered the sticks for extra fuel to cook our midday meals.

6. We collected garbage in sacks and parat (large vessels) which we put in a central area. The trash was then burned.

7. The Sarpanch (local authority) not only gave permission to clear the grounds, but also provided the tractor to level the ground.

8. There was an uncovered well on the field, which we covered.

9. Now that the ground is cleared and leveled we can play! We now know we can work as a team and solve anything. We can help each other to get the job done. We had fun while solving our problem. The ground we cleared for our playground can also be used by the village for community functions.
