This document outlines a social media marketing plan for Home Depot focused on connecting with customers through contests on Facebook, YouTube, and a smartphone game. It allocates a $9,000 budget across these platforms and lists goals of connecting with customers, distinguishing Home Depot from competitors, and concentrating on key areas. This document outlines 10 lessons learned from 10 years of research on K-12 online teaching and learning. The research has been exploratory in nature using surveys, case studies, and qualitative methods. Few experimental designs have been used. Early research focused on comparing online to face-to-face, but questions have shifted to understanding online learning itself. Successful online teachers are experienced, lifelong learners who play multiple roles, but need tailored training. Successful online students are motivated, organized, independent learners from environments conducive to online learning. Much more research is still needed, especially comparative and data-driven studies, to fully understand online teaching and learning.

The document then asks what students need to be able to do and how instructors can support their learning. It describes some of the skills students need, like communicating online. It also discusses how instructors teach online skills, through a professional development course that includes examples, peer support and hands-on activities using online tools.

This document discusses leadership styles and Home Depot's leadership. It defines leadership as a relationship where one person influences others. There are three main leadership styles - autocratic, democratic, and free reign - that fall on a continuum from telling to joining subordinates. The document then examines Home Depot's leadership styles, which range from country club to middle of the road. It identifies strengths like increased commitment but also weaknesses such as unsatisfied customers. In conclusion, it recommends a more participative leadership style over authoritative approaches and focusing on long term goals and local markets.
Social Psychology Journal Project BriefKhangWei Chin
This document provides instructions for Assignment 1 of the Social Psychology course. Students are asked to complete a journal entry reflecting on how the course concepts relate to their personal lives or experiences. They should submit two journal entries per assignment that are 1.5-2 paragraphs each, relating a past life experience to a concept from the lectures. The objectives are to increase awareness of how social psychology applies to daily life and to understand interactions with others. Students will be assessed on demonstrating understanding of course themes, appropriately applying concepts to personal experiences, and following the documentation format and submission requirements.

FNBE 0814- Social Psychology - Assignment 3- Reportkaiwenyeo
The document summarizes a group project conducted by students for their Social Psychology class. It includes:
- An introduction outlining the objectives of creating a video to demonstrate concepts from the class.
- A methods section describing the storyline chosen, materials used in filming, and roles of each group member.
- An analysis section that uses screenshots from the video to explain how it portrays the concepts of social interaction, optimistic bias, hostile aggression, bystander effect, and extrinsic motivation.
FNBE0214 - Social Psychology (Video Report)Yen Min Khor
1) The document describes a group project conducted by students to produce a video, report, and presentation on the topic of attraction and chemistry.
2) It provides details on the methods used, including storyboarding the video, filming at various campus locations, and delegating tasks among group members.
3) The video depicts five scenes showing concepts like the halo effect and mood-congruent effect through the story of a nerd developing attraction to a popular girl he sees on campus.
This document provides a chronology of psychological interventions and community development projects in India from the 1950s to the early 2000s. It notes that early projects in the 1950s were not truly community-led. It then discusses controversies in the 1960s-70s over whether Western theories blamed Indian traditions for low development. Foreign funding of NGOs increased sharply from the 1980s. By the late 1990s-2000s, around 90% of rural organizations depended on foreign assistance and nearly 20,000 NGOs were registered under foreign funding laws.
The document summarizes a talk given by Jonathan Haidt at the annual meeting of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. Some key points:
- Social psychology lacks ideological diversity and tolerates few dissenting views, behaving as a "tribal moral community" rather than a reality-based field.
- Surveys found almost no openly conservative members in the field or attending the conference. This lack of diversity limits the questions asked and mechanisms studied.
- Haidt argues for greater openness to diverse perspectives to improve science and thinking in the field. The field's future could be brighter if it embraced more post-partisan diversity.
