death of every unmet expectation. What recent expectation was unmet that brought you to the door of
the grieving process? What stage of Kübler-Ross’s progression have you currently reached with this
stressor?
_______I recently was romantically involved with someone and it did not work out. He is someone I
have known for over 20 years and had always had a hope that one day we would get together. We
finally did, at the wrong time and it did not work out. I had high hopes that this relationship was what
I had been looking for through many other relationships. Unfortunately, it ended fairly badly, because
of this, I think I went through every stage of grieving. I am sort of in the acceptance stage. I have
accepted what has happened and the fact that the timing is really off, but am still hopeful that when
circumstances are better for both of us then we may give it another chance. That is TBD I suppose.
