Hugh Laurie is an English actor, comedian, musician, and author. He was born in 1959 in Oxford, England to a family with a background in academics and sports. He is best known for playing the roles of Dr. Gregory House in the TV series House and for his comedy roles in the British TV series Blackadder and Jeeves & Wooster.
