 You can choose it as the nearest city or
 Just put down your Pin Code and the program will tell you what
is your PSK (Passport Seva Kendra).

 Next process is police verification.
 The verification would be done by the police
thana under whose jurisdiction your address
comes.
 If you don’t know the thana, then you can check
out the same from the passport website itself,
although that’s complicated.

your passport application has been sent to the
police thana.

7. In the Police Thana
 Do not worry if you are not home when they come,
you can go to the thana for the verification process.
 You will have to go to the police station and tell them
why you have come.
 They will tell you whom to go and meet, the clerk
generally.
 The clerk will ask for affidavits. If you haven’t done
any crimes, it’s not a hassle.
 Submit affidavits and any photocopies and you are
done.

 Make sure you have all the certificates you have
mentioned in the passport form in Original.
 Recheck the form before submitting online. Get a
2nd person to view the form and verify the
statements.
 If its your first time dealing with police, take
someone to thana who has experience dealing
with police. Saves you the hassle of going back &
forth.
 If the PSK is far from where you live, take
appointment for afternoon. Do remember that
they don’t let anybody other than the applicant
inside the PSK. Also have some food before
going in and take a water bottle and some snacks
