This presentation was used for a video on "How does CRISPR works?". Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79HGNweqRas What these molecular scissors do is they cut up the virus infected DNA before the virus destroys the bacterial cell. Usually virus kills the bacterial cell but if it doesn't, the bacteria saves the virus's DNA inserts it to itself for self-defense reasons so that next time when the virus attacks, the bacteria will be able to fight back with the DNA that it has obtained. CRISPR has vast amount of options of usability. For example human health. Not talking only about allergies, like mentioned earlier in the video but also about cardiovascular diseases, HIV, leukemia. Now, drug development can be helped to cure those health problems. Also CRISPR can help a new human or design a new human being on the embryo level. Of course research application, creating new materials. Additionally, CRISPR can be used in agriculture, developing biodiversity and of course in bioenergy because our energy resources are limited. Thank you very much, I hope you enjoyed it.
