1. HOW DID ORIGAMI OWL GET ITS NAME?
Bella, our founder, was fascinated with origami as a child and hung paper cranes around her
room.
When she saw her jewelry business take flight, origami cranes came to mind. But Bella also
wanted to symbolize the wisdom needed to start a business. So, Origami Owl was born — a
name as unique as the jewelry you create.
WHAT ARE LIVING LOCKETS?
It’s been said that Living Lockets are the latest trend in jewelry; but the truth is, they’re so much
more than that! Living Lockets are an extension of YOU – because each and every piece is
custom designed to tell a story of your life and of what’s important to you.
Build your Living Locket in 5 simple steps:
1. Select the CHARMS that tell your story or represent things you love
2. Choose a LOCKET
3. Choose a CHAIN
4. Add a hand-stamped metal PLATE
5. Add a DANGLE (or two!)
Every jewelry creation serves as a reminder of who you are, where you have been, where you are
going and the dreams you carry in your heart. So, look inside yourself to create fun, fashionable,
meaningful jewelry that is as unique as you are.
Every locket tells a story…what’s yours?
HOW MANY CHARMS FIT INTO EACH LOCKET?
Depending on the size of the charms selected:
Mini lockets hold 1-2 charms.
Medium lockets hold 4-7 charms.
Large lockets hold 8-12 charms.
WHAT ARE THE SIZES OF THE LOCKETS?
There are three different locket sizes currently offered.
Mini lockets are about the size of a dime.
Medium lockets are about the size of a nickel.
Large lockets are about the size of a quarter.
DO OUR NECKLACES CONTAIN NICKEL?
Origami Owl’s Living Lockets are stainless steel, which is one of the jewelry industry’s premier
metals because it is completely hypoallergenic. It does not contain nickel and therefore will not
rust or tarnish.
WHAT ARE LIVING LOCKETS MADE OF?
Each piece in our signature jewelry collection has been designed exclusively for Origami Owl.
Each is hand-selected for its high quality and design.
2. Our lockets are crafted using high-quality metals. The base is stainless steel, which is a metal
that is similar in appearance to silver, but is harder, hypoallergenic and will not tarnish –
making it an excellent choice for jewelry! Then they are beautifully plated with 18K Gold
(antique finish) or 18K Rose Gold (polished finish). No competitor to our knowledge
carries either Gold finish.
The enamel in our charms is hand painted by highly skilled artisans. That’s pretty impressive
when you consider that each charm is less than 1/4” in diameter! Our charms will not rust
or tarnish.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY JEWELRY?
The glass on your Living Lockets is fragile and can break. Handle with grace and caution.
Avoid water. Always remove your jewelry before entering water. Living Lockets are not
waterproof.
Since our jewelry is made with real metals and may naturally lose some luster with time we
suggest you polish it every now and then. To keep it looking as good as new gently rub
all pieces with a dry polishing cloth in a circular motion until the shine is restored.
Remember to take off your jewelry when using harsh chemicals, applying beauty products or
entering extreme heat or cold.
