YouSwoop's explosive growth as a premier daily deal site has been well chronicled by top local and regional media
outlets, tweeted by thousands of fans, and has got bloggers talking (at the least!). At YouSwoop, our goal is to
provide the highest level of service to our customers and to carry this out more efficiently and proactively than our
competitors. We’re an impassioned, energetic, dedicated and fun group committed to creating awesome
experiences for our Swoopers. We love what we do—we work hard each day to partner with amazing local
businesses so that we can create incredible experiences to introduce to our rapidly growing consumer base. We
believe in empowering the individual – from the individual consumer, individual business, and, of course, each of
our Swoopees who arrive at our office with superior attitude and conviction. We take pride in the ambition,
creativity, efficiency, and spunk of our Swoopees who each have contributed to an innovative and energetic
environment that has allowed for YouSwoop’s continuous growth.

Fall of 2012 will be an exhilarating time of growth at YouSwoop. Therefore, we are going to be hiring
“Swoopterns” to drive more growth, increase awareness, refine our branding, and really be influential in the next
stage of our success.Our programs are a way to gain real-life experiences that will lead to enhancement of
communication and leadership skills, creativity, decision making capabilities. Swoopternsalso enjoy a great deal of
ownership and independence with their day to day functions. YouSwoop’s internship program is paid and you can

expect to see your compensation reflect the amount of hard work you put in. The internship will begin August 27
and last thru the end of the calendar year.

General Requirements:
   - You are a senior or graduating in Fall 2012, Winter or Spring 2013
   - You tend to keep an on-going internal competition of how many friends, followers, connections, and
        reviews you have. You use social media as part of your daily life: Facebook, Yelp, Twitter, LinkedIN…
   - You know what’s going on outside the walls of your home. Instead of video games and ESPN, you play Pop
        A Shot at the local hang-out andsit in the bleachers at Wrigley or Upper Deck at The Cell.
   - You are fun to work with. You maintain composure under pressure, keep a good sense of humor, and
        contribute to a lively team environment.
   - You are already aSwooper and have insight into our target audience and what it takes to be a successful
        player in this new industry.
   - Like any good silver, you are fully polished and your communication skills exude confidence, relevance,
        and intelligence.
   - You like fun.

Social Media & PR Interns
We are looking for 3 Swoopterns to manage social media and public relations. These interns will be fully immersed
in the online and offline promotion of our brand. Swoopterns will focus on managing our social media presence,
external communications, and partake in special projects.
You’d be a fit for this one if…
     - You are a senior or graduating in Fall 2012, Winter or Spring 2013
     - You have a passion for tactics and understand social media strategy, not just how to tweet and write on
         someone’s wall.
     - You are majoring in: Strategic Communications, Social Media, PR, Integrative Marketing, Journalism w/ a
         digital focus, or Digital Media…
     - You and Google Analytics have hung out before; you’re more than acquaintances, maybe even BFFs

    -    You have built your own personal brand through an active online presence: a blog, online portfolio,
         and/or Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. (please include links to these accounts when applying so we have
         proof!)
    -    You know your School House Rock and are the go-to person who had to edit your less grammatically
         inclined college friends’ term papers
    -    You can take criticism
    -    You know the definitions of PPC and CPM without using Wikipedia and have demonstrated familiarity
         (class, blog, previous internship) using them
    -    You have strong analytical skills
    -    You understand how to optimize marketing across multiple channels
