This presentation, Grow, Taste and Eat wth Preschoolers is for the Agriculture in the Indoor and Outdoor Classroom pre-K to 12 workshop at the Virginia Urban Agriculture Summit 2017. Mary presents from her classes as Outdoor Resource Specialist at The Eastern Ridge School, VA. The school is nature-based, and children are outdoors for extended play time year-round. We look at foraging favorites for 2 - 5 year olds, and some easy recipes including Sun Tea and Herby Potatoes. Mary shares resources for early childhood and elementary-age edible gardening including cultural and literature connections, and a collection of easy recipes for a wide selection of crops that are grown at Eastern Ridge - as well as useful links.
