The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) awarded the 2014 Sunrise High Altitude Balloon Flight to a team of students from the University of Colorado Boulder. The students designed and built a payload to take atmospheric measurements and photos from over 100,000 feet during a high altitude balloon flight. Their proposal and goals for the project demonstrated a strong interest in atmospheric science and furthering scientific knowledge.
